Bag This! A Road Trip Essential. So we'd booked that much needed (long overdue) break overseas. Almost four weeks of French food - there wasn't a lot not to love! Then reality hit. How would we keep an energetic toddler (one that only wants to kick a ball and play with anything transport related....okay, at the very least the aeroplane part was sorted!) and our little miss entertained on a long haul flight away from the comforts of home and what they already knew? Yes, I'd read travel blogs, asked parents who'd done that dreaded journey before and knew there was only so many sticker books, reading material, leap pad, treats and kids movies that would do the trick and would wear thin after a while. When we were asked to review the 'My Busy Bag' how could one refuse! They are a genius idea. Bundles of 'stuff' catered for different age groups in their own calico bag. Thanks to the Travel Busy Bag (3 years+) the skies have never been friendlier. That overseas holiday came and went without us, instead of traipsing in France on a family adventure a family emergency arose and I (with my little girl) booked a flight to Brisbane in a flash. An emergency (of tragic circumstances) calls for calm and rational thinking; but calm I was not. Throwing some basics into a bag was a blur and I grabbed the Travel Busy Bag and we were out the door in minutes. Although only a 2.5 hour flight, My Busy Bag went the distance and did not disappoint. My little one and I played 'go fish' on the fold down tray table, a colourful caterpillar game (that has since become a favourite), she coloured in the princess colouring book, played peekaboo at the window with the fairy dolly, stickered me and her hands and we laced and traced until almost touch down! My Busy Bag was so impressive, even the iPad didn't come out to play and it was a saviour at the hospital, even my 2.5 year old nephew wanted 'in'! So if you're hitting the road, skies or sea....these activity bags will get you there and back and make your destination a little less stressful and silence the 'I'm Bored'. I promise! With the right gear, the journey can be half the fun. As well as the Travel Busy Bag the discerning mini munching, cafe hopping child can get into the 'Cafe Busy Bag'. It's catered for 18 months+ right up until 4 years+. Bon Voyage! Thanks Jo for a wonderful review. Visit Jo's website here www.littlemelbourne.com.au
