Protect kids’ eyes with new super-durable sunglasses

WE ALL Slip, Slop and Slap to protect our kids’ delicate skin from the sun, but how many of us put sunglasses on our children too? UV rays from the harsh Australian sun can really damage delicate young eyes, which is why it’s essential to get into the habit of wearing sunglasses from an early age.

Kiddie Concepts’ new range of baby and kids’ sunglasses not only provide 100% protection against harmful UVA, UVB and UVC rays, but their innovative design can withstand the tough treatment kids dish out. With super-flexible, shock-absorbing rubber frames and shatter-resistant lenses, the Kiddie Concepts sunglasses are less likely to break than regular frames – even when they’re bent, thrown or sat on.

The wrap-around styling provides excellent coverage and helps keep the frames on littlies’ heads, while the cool range of duo-toned colours will make them a hit in the playground. Kiddie Concepts founder and director Lisa Ryan said many parents didn’t realise that sunglasses were as essential as sunscreen and hats in the battle to protect children from the sun’s radiation. “Most parents don’t leave the house without their sunnies, but we forget our kids’ eyes are even more vulnerable to sun damage because they spend more time outdoors,” says Lisa.

Kiddie Concepts’ sunglasses come in two sizes (6months-3 years and 3-7 years), eight great two-toned combos, with mirror lenses available on some of the over-3 range.

Pros:
They are very flexible and have survived a lot of pulling from our daughter. They sit really well on her ears and have never left any marks even though it is a good firm fit.
Cons:
They've been great!

We were amazed that our daughter not only let us put them on her but actually wants to wear them. Sometimes it's even hard to take them off her. With a great fit and durable materials they are a great product and look good to!
