Natural Rubber Soothers

Natural Rubber Soothers are extremely hygienic because they are molded in one piece. This means there are no joins or cracks in the natural rubber soother where dirt and bacteria can accumulate. The natural rubber soother shield is larger than conventional dummy shields, which touches baby’s nose providing closer simulation to breastfeeding. The size of the shield also prevents babies from squeezing the soother into their mouths. It does not leave marks on the baby's face due to the high level of elasticity of natural rubber. The makeUwell Natural Rubber soother is softer than silicone soothers, which makes it easy to wash and care for and also ensures that it won’t fall apart.

   Natural Rubber Teethers

The Natural Rubber Fish Teether is 'PVC Free' and is ideal to use when teething occurs in young infants. Teething is often accompanied by symptoms such as ache, irritation and swollen gums which can feel hot and uncomfortable. Chewing on a Natural Rubber Teether with its textured surfaces will offers relief by stimulating the gums in preparation for the arrival of the teeth. Tactile stimulation also assists baby to develop creative thinking, motor skills & sense of touch.

Pros:
Made from one piece of material, no areas for bacteria to build. Really easy to clean with soap and water. Large soother shield, as our son was just about eating his last one...
Cons:
None!

I recently heard about the baby soother through a friend who had told me a little about it. My initial reason to try and find out more was to find a product that was safe, natural and didn't give my 15 month old son red spots around his mouth like the other ones did. He always gets them when he is teething or unwell as he likes to have his soother a lot more during these times. After some research, I discovered that the spots were probably caused from bacteria lodged in the other soothers as they are manufactured and put together as separate pieces. I constantly wash them but no matter how much I do, he still gets red spots around his mouth. When he was first born, I tried a couple of different shapes and found the orthodontic shape was the one he liked best. I initially tried the round shape in the Natural Rubber Soother and he took to it quiet well considering. I will now be purchasing another couple to keep as spares and they will be the orthodontic shape also. I’ve been using the Natural Rubber Soother for over three weeks now and we both love it! He really likes to bite and pull on it when he is teething and it has stood up to his treatment. I love the fact that I know my son isn’t getting any harmful bacteria and he enjoys the material, shape and feel. His red spots have completely cleared up too. Also, I noticed in the last couple months that he manages to stick the entire soother in his mouth! The larger soother shield on the Natural Rubber Soother means that he can’t do that and I feel that it is a safe product for him. It’s very easy to wash, soap and water doesn’t get lodged anywhere and I can give it to him knowing it’s completely clean and germ-free. I really wish I found out about this product earlier. I will use the Natural Rubber Soother with my son and will buy it for my next baby should he/she needs one. Elena

Pros:
Upon first receiving the soother, I immediately noticed that it was very different in appearance compared to regular dummies. It didn't have the hard plastic mouthguard, but instead had a softer circular guard. I also noticed that it was very soft to touch and didn't feel harsh or plastic. Overall I was impressed with the all in one component of the soother which therefore meant no crevices for germs to hide. On the positive side of the soother being soft, my baby seemed to like to chew on the soother as it was softer than her other dummies. She would chew along the circular guard when she wasn't using it to be soothed. I also found her asleep in her cot once sucking on the handle part of the soother! There is also peace of mind in the fact that this soother is only 1 complete piece so there was no concern that a part could come off and get lodged in baby's throat. Another advantage is that there is no up or down way for the dummy to be inserted into the baby's mouth as it is a circular guard and fits anyway. The package advised me to sterilise the soother before use by boiling in water for 10 minutes, which I did. I found that the back of the teat filled with water so I had to squeeze the teat to empty the water. I think that this is to allow the soother to be soft rather than hard like other dummies. After the initial sterilisation I just washed and rinsed the soother in warm soapy water or put it in the electric steriliser. It was very easy to just wash the soother without worrying about germs getting caught in the different components of the dummy, so I only sterilised the soother as I felt necessary compared to other dummies that I would sterilise more often.
Cons:
None!

As a background to my review of the Natural Baby Soother, I was very hesitant to give my baby a "dummy" as I preferred to be as natural as possible. It seemed though, that this baby just need a dummy to be soothed. Overall I found this soother to be great. It did it job of soothing my baby and even had the extra benefits of a teething aid and worry-free in regards to sterilisation and the soother breaking apart. I other thing that comes with the soother is the attention as a fashion statement that I got. Whenever I was out with my baby and this soother I would always get questions or comments about the soother. I would recommend this soother to other parents as it is great at soothing baby, and the cost is on par with other soothers/dummies on the market and this one is all natural for your baby. Thank you for the opportunity to try and review the Natural Baby Soother. Nicole

Pros:
I loved that its natural and 1 whole piece. It was at 1st rather big (because lots of other dummies are smaller oval shape however you soon get used to the BIG brown dummy in mouth..lol Loved the soother saver also and much better than the chains you buy. Easily washed, clips on great and keeps dummy close at hand.
Cons:
It does tend to gather a bit of fluff off clothes and blankies especially now he is on the move but a quick rinse off and it’s good to go again.

3 weeks ago we got our Natural rubber soother & chain to review and my son LOVES it. He is very fussy with dummies and usually they have to be the flat teat not ortho teat but he took to it like his FAV one. (we probably need a bigger teat now) Have recommended to friends and will continue to do so :D Jess
