Malta
The Maltese Islands are a relaxed holiday destination with natural beauty and steeped in history. Families will love the laid back pace of Malta and exploring the scenery. Malta has plenty to do in a small area and great weather most of the year round.

Visit Playmobil Fun Park or take a tour and see where the playmobil toys are made
Mediterraneo Marine Park where you can swim with dolphins or see a range of animals, see a dolphin show or a tropical bird show
Splash and Fun Water Park has an adults pool and a number of kids pools amusements and water slides
Take a sightseeing tour on a trackless replica of an old train around Mdina with Melita Trains
Visit Sweethaven village the set of the 1980 Popeye movie, the set still exists and there is also a small kids fun park on site
Visit the LWS Animal Park where kids can see animals (some of which are not caged), ride horses and ponies and even ride Go karts
Visit the harbour and join one of the many cruises out to the Blue Grotto Caves or take the ferry from Sliema to Valetta or one of the other Maltese islands Gozo or Comino.
Kids will also find riding on one of Malta’s beautiful old buses a novelty. (pictured to right)
Malta is easy to explore on foot although getting to the centre of Valetta from the harbour is very steep with quite a lot of steps so a stroller will need to be carried.
Treat the kids to Gelati and then burn off some energy at the playground in Sliema overlooking the ocean.

Travelling
Air Malta, Qantas, Emirates, Thai and Malaysia airway can all get you to Malta from Australia. Malta can also be accessed by ferry from Sicily and several other European ports.
Safety
Children under 3 years of age sitting in the front seat of a vehicle must be in an appropriate child car seat or when sitting in the back seat must be in a child car seat if available or if no child car seat is available, an adult seatbelt must be worn. Children aged 3 to 11 and less than 150 cm in height must be in an appropriate child restraint or if not available, an adult seatbelt must be worn.
