Why

Argueably our life changed when our daughter was born in December 2010. Jamie my husband would probably argue that it all changed when the stick turned blue. Either way, the single biggest thing to impact our lives is our daughter Rachel.

We have travelled extensively, I am a South African and, Jamie is British, though would prefer Scotsman and Rachel is equally more confused no doubt claiming Australia her home and certainly the colour of her passport would suggest Australia is it.

Jamie and I travelled as much as we could as a couple, Jamie worked in the travel industry and we used and abused every available leave day and discount on offer to see the world.

When the "World Changed' we promised each other that our child would not take over our life, we would not become consumed by "it", but we would adapt and of course be the parents we wanted to be but still give us the freedom to see and travel the world - after all there are still places we want to see.

In April 2011 we did our first overseas trip, Rachel was to be 4 months old when we set off and frankly we were terrified.

So like every good parent terrified of the future we jumped online and started to prepare ourselves.

Travel With Tots was what we found and slowly we became confident in our abilities as parents to still be able to travel and not have to sacrifice what we had cherished together before the "world changed".
